    Please do bear in mind that I am just a humble peasant trying to get by in what to me has been an ever increasingly expensive world to live in, my income in the past ten years has pretty much halved, yet my basic living costs have soared out of all proportion to what I actually buy/use, and I DO mean extremely basic. It does seem to me that unless you already HAVE a decent amount of money, you are pretty much screwed out of the chance to have a better way of life, or indeed any form of security vis a vis finaces/home etc
    That “gap” you are referring to is definately getting wider every day, no more so than recently!
    I have a couple of wealthy friends and believe me, they aren’t working any harder than usual yet are sure splashing out a lot more!

    I don’t see a connection between this and the huge gap between the rich and the poor in terms of wealth…the gap that was never wider than under the previous government’s tenure,
